The owner wanted to have a more efficient business with less of his time taken up in business management and compliance. He needed to delegate the workload so he could focus on project management, but to be able to still manage holistically. A business review including the current business processing status to understand how the projects were performing, also measuring the risks and opportunities within the business. To work on this challenge we needed to have a firm understanding of the business. We did a full review of the business and management information currently available and its compliance and accuracy for the client. Through our Accounting division, restructuring and finalising previous years accounts for starting points, then our MIS division analysed the current systems in place and their adaptability, then a review of the required output for the future for efficient management. In collaboration with our clients we implemented new processing and recording, new MIS system on line and ensured compliance on their safety documentation. This change brought new capability to their management reporting providing analysis for decision making. The owner has changed his role to managing holistically delegating responsibility to staff and outsourced partners, and is now able to focus on moving forward with better cost efficiency and more focus on project margins
